Famous Fredericton beaver sculpture finds new home in downtown art gallery

“The Beavers” pictured in this 2024 photo. The sculpture was commissioned by the province of New Brunswick in 1959 as a gift to Lord Beaverbrook for his 80th birthday. The beavers were created by Acadian artist Claude Roussel. The piece now has a new home in the Beaverbrook Art Gallery in downtown Fredericton. THE CANADIAN PRESS/HO City of Fredericton
