Elsipogtog First Nation seeks to ensure survival of traditional Mi’kmaq basket making skills through training and mentoring

ELSIPOGTOG FIRST NATION, N.B. – Members of the media, elected officials and other dignitaries are welcome to attend Elsipogtog First Nation’s Economic Development Department’s unveiling of work done in its first-ever basket-making class on Wednesday, November 27, at 1 p.m. at the Elsipogtog Mi’kmaq Cultural Centre and Artisan Gift Shop located at 29 Big Cove Road in the community. Indigenous hors d’oeuvres will also be served.
